If you want to use VS Code on an Android phone then my recommendation is you can buy a keyboard and mouse. It can provide smooth coding like a desktop. 


Step of Installing VS Code in Android Phone

Step1: Install Termux

Termux is a terminal emulator and Linux environment application for Android that requires no rooting or setup. A simple base system is automatically installed, and more packages can be found using the package manager.

If your Termux doesn't really function on the upgrade command, use the following command to try changing the default repo:

termux-change-repo



Step2: Install Ubantu using Termux

Enter the following code and ubuntu will install it on your android phone. Ubuntu is the operating system in Linux. It is an open-source operating system for Linux users.

pkg install wget openssl-tool proot -y && hash -r && wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/EXALAB/AnLinux-Resources/master/Scripts/Installer/Ubuntu/ubuntu.sh && bash ubuntu.sh

Start Ubuntu by entering the following code

./start-ubuntu.sh


Step3: Download Code Server

Now we will install the latest version of the code server from Github. You can install Code Server using this code. 

wget https://github.com/cdr/code-server/releases/download/v3.10.2/code-server-3.10.2-linux-arm64.tar.gz

Extract the Tarlball using the following command

tar -xvf ./code-server-3.10.2-linux-arm64.tar.gz

Enter the bin folder of your code server on ubuntu using this command

cd code-server-3.10.2-linux-arm64 cd bin


Step4: Set Up your password and Install VS code

Use the following command to set up a password for your VS Code instance:

export PASSWORD="yourpassword"


Start the server using the following command:

code-server
